The series City Elements is a collection of small paintings and drawings representing urban elements that the artist photographs in her immediate environment. Once isolated and digitalised the elements thus become almost abstract and remind the work of American artists from the 70s, such as 'Anne Truitt. This series is ongoing, new urban elements are collected almost daily and are regularly painted to add to the collection.
“What is important to me is not geometrical shape per se, or color per se, but to make a relationship between shape and color which feels to me like my experience. To make what feels to me like reality.”
_Ann Truitt, 1965
